Programs at CCPS

Special Programs

Reading Recovery – An intensive daily individual reading program for selected students in Year 1, including carefully monitored reading and writing programs. 

Learning Assistance – Specially designed programs to address specific student needs for areas of literacy and numeracy learning, based on assessment and structured intervention.

FARM – Furthering Achievement, Resilience and Motivation – the CCPS Boys Education program, which focuses on building and maintaining quality relationships between students and staff, and on engagement with educational programs.

ESL – structured English programs for students from backgrounds where other languages are frequently used.

Learning Support Centre and Integration Support – Intensive support for students with designated special education needs.

School’s As Communities – program to build and maintain positive links with the school community.

Year 5 band - Music program for Year Five students.

Breakfast Club - Thursday mornings from 8am.

Sport - The school offers a variety of sports that the students can participate in and represent the school including Rugby League, Rugby Union, Touch and Oztag. The school has 2 major carnivals during the year.  These are Cross Country and Athletics. 

Gross Motor - Daily PE occurs in classes with students having skills and games taught during this time. Students in Kindergarten to Year 2 have a weekly session of a Gross Motor Program.
